Ian Wallace is one of Tasmania’s most successful photographers.
"I live to take photographs! I believe that it is a privilege to be chosen by people who ask me to record their special moments and relationships with my cameras. When capturing photographs, I also get caught in the moment and I believe that it's the connection I make with others that provides the emotion you see in my images"
Ian shoots with three Nikon D200's and a Mamiya RZ67 camera. One of his D200's has been converted to capture only black and white infrared. For his water babies projects, he uses an Ikelite housing with a pair of D125 strobes.
In 2007, Ian won 4 state and 3 national awards for his photography. He was also awarded the title ‘2007 Runner up - EPSON Tasmanian Professional Photographer of the Year'.
Ian holds the position 'Vice President' on the National Board of the Australian Institute of Photography.
Ian is an accredited member of the Australian Institute of Professional Photography. This means that he will abide by the Institutes code of ethics and that his business has been accredited as professional. www.aipp.com.au
